Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Inland Navigation Jurisdiction Act in its version of 4 August 1986. At the outset of the Ordinance the terms «inland waterways» and «small vessels» are defined. Article 3 establishes that small vessels navigating on German inland waterways must have an official tag and the skipper shall ensure that such a mark shall be clearly visible and legible. The text consists of 14 articles divided into 3 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Procedures (II); Final provisions (III). Two Annexes are enclosed.
