Abstract

These Regulations provide for a system of on-the-spot fines for offences in inland fisheries. They declare section 25 (inserted by section 3(b) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 2000) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1999 to apply to offences under section 24(6) of that Act in respect of contravention of specified regulations of the Wild Salmon and Sea Trout Tagging Scheme Regulations 2009 and prescribe Bye-laws mentioned in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to these Regulations to be prescribed for the purposes of section 2(1)(b) and (c) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 2000. The fines shall be administered by the regional fisheries boards.
