Abstract

This Order provides for the control of food imported in Jersey. Imported food may be examined by an authorized officer. Where the authorized officer suspects that food is unfit for human consumption, a detention notice shall be served on the importer prohibiting the removal of the food. Food unfit for human consumption shall be subject of a notice of the Minister requiring the exportation or disposal of such food. Appeal to the Royal Court may be lodged against such notice.
