The importation of any animal or animal manure or of any fodder, litter, fittings or other things which have or may have come into contact with any animal is absolutely prohibited except where such introduction takes place in accordance with these Regulations. The matters here regulated include: landing of animals and products at a prescribed port, notice of arrival, importation of horses, cattle, swine, sheep, goats etc., importation of poultry and eggs for incubation, procedure while prohibited animals are on the sea, authorization of land of animals on foreign-going vessels, notice and declaration to be made on arrival of an animal and seizure of illegally-landed animals.
