Abstract

This Ordinance places restrictions on the importation of certain trees, wood, bark and soil that may carry plant pests of diseases. The Ordinance prohibits also the landing of certain tree pests including pests which have been subjected to genetic manipulation or any genetically manipulated material. The Schedules to this Ordinance list the materials and specify relative restrictions. Trees, bark, wood and soil for which restrictions are in place for importation from third countries shall, if origination from a Member State of the European Community other than the United Kingdom, be accompanied by phytosanitary certificates
