These Rules and Regulations shall take effect after fifteen (15) days from date of publication in the official gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
Abstract

This Regulation is enacted in light of policy of the government to ensure that the fundamental task of safeguarding and promoting the well-being of the Filipino workers are secured. The Regulation consists of 8 Rules referring to issues of responsibilities of the secretary and the local government unit on promotion and protection of the health of workers, responsibilities of employer, employees and the health and safety committee on installing and maintaining in good conditions all control facilities and protective barriers for potential and actual hazards, application, renewal, issuance and revocation of the sanitary permit, requirements in the operation of industrial establishments including sanitary facilities, environmental control, personal protective equipment and occupational health services. The Regulation contain number of Appendixes referring to issues of drinking water facility, number of toilets, restrooms and dining facilities, bathing and washing facility, permissible noise exposure limits, medicines and medical supplies and required health personnel, protective clothing material and protective equipment.
