Abstract The Regulation provides for sanitation and health requirements in public and private schools and all the other types of school that are referred in the Regulation. The Regulation provides for gaining sanitary permit, application and its renewal, selection of school site and structural requirements such as lighting, mechanical ventilation, air space, classroom equipments, seat arrangement and chalkboard/whiteboard. As to sanitary facilities requirements the Regulation provides for lavatory facility, water supply, sewage disposal, vermin control and house keeping. Safety requirements include buildings and grounds, fire prevention, gas poisoning and other disasters prevention equipments. Other facilities for the school are laboratories, dormitories, computer rooms, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor play areas. Section 10 of the Regulation refers to specific requirements for special schools for surgical and scientific purposes. final provision refer to requirements for personnel, school clinic and sanitation inspection.
