Abstract These implementing Rules and Regulations shall apply to all occupants, owners, tenants, lesses of buildings and dwelling houses, owners or operators of industrial, commercial and business establishments, local government units, other government agencies or government owned or controlled corporations, private firms or corporations, institutions, refuse collectors, disposal area operators and junk dealers that generating, accumulating, storing, collecting, transporting, processing and treating, utilising and disposing refuse or other waste matter. The Regulations provide for sanitary requirements for the segregation and storage, collection and transportation of refuse/solid waste. The Regulations further provides for sanitary requirements for disposal areas and facilities for waste processing, recovered materials, biomedical waste management. The Regulations also provides for inspection requirements and responsibility of the refuse collector, owners of facilities and local health officer. The Regulations consist of 20 Sections.
