Entry into force notes
These Rules and Regulations shall take effect after fifteen (15) days from date of publication in the official gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
Abstract

These implementing Rules and Regulations shall apply to all public and private sewage and excreta collection and disposal system project planned by any government agency or instrumentality including government owned or controlled corporations, private organizations, firms, individuals or other entities. The Regulations provide that every new house/building to be constructed shall be provided with plan and specifications for excreta disposal system approved by the local health authority prior to construction. The Regulation further provides for design and construction of septic tankers, leaching time field and house sewers. Other sectors of the Regulations refer to public sewerage system, damage to public sewerage disposal system, abandoned sewage disposal facilities, drainage and requirement for grant of permit by the Department of Health. The Regulation consists of 14 Sections.
