The present Ordinance enters into force retroactively on 1 July 2001.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Ordinance relating to the Federal Water Protection Act of 19 April 2000. The Environment Protection Office is the competent authority to oversee all activities related to water. Article 4 lists its various functions. The text consists of 26 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Protected waters and groundwater (II); Various provisions (III); Contributions (IV); Final provisions (V).
