The Regulations set restrictions on production, consumption, import and export of substances that deplete or are likely to deplete the ozone layer (listed in the First Schedule) and establish means of inspection and control mechanisms. There shall be an obligation of an importer or exporter to report on their trade in controlled substances. The Regulations provide with respect to various trade mechanisms to substances listed in the Third Schedule.
