Abstract

The Act establishes that Minister may, by order published in the Gazette, impose a cess to be raised, levied, collected and paid in respect of all hides and skins exported from Malawi. No person shall export any hide or skin from Malawi unless and until the amount due in respect of any cess imposed thereon has been paid. If any person exports or attempts to export any hide or skin from Malawi in contravention of subsection (1), such person shall be guilty of an offence.
