Abstract

Article 1 of the above-mentioned Law establishes that the objectives of the present Law are the: 1) protection, conservation and development of aquatic flora and fauna and their habitat; 2) preservation and improvement of water quality and the variety of waters as indispensable prerequisites for the development and conservation of fish and 3) promotion of fishing practice based on the principles of good professional practice. The Law applies to fishing in still and running waters. The text consists of 55 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Fishing rights (II); Exercise of fishing rights (III); Fishing permit (IV); Protection of fish stock (V); Fishing authorities and institutes (VI); Compensation (VII); Penalties (VIII); Transitional and final provisions (IX).
