Abstract

These Regulations lay down measures for the monitoring of heavy metals (mercury, lead and cadmium) in fishery and aquacultural products. The Regulations establish rules for the sampling and testing procedures and methods. The Fish Inspection and Quality Control Division of the Ministry of Fishery (“The Competent Authority”) shall take all measures to ensure that sampling and control shall be carried out in accordance with these Regulations. Part II defines specifications, limits and maximum levels of heavy metal content in fish products. Sampling shall be takes in accordance with the methods described in Part III. Part IV concerns preparation of samples. (30 articles)
