Abstract

The purpose of the present Ordinance is, inter alia, to implement, the Council Directive 91/676/EEC concerning the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources of 12 December 1991. In particular, the text lays down provisions relating to facilities and plants handling water-polluting substances. Article 3 establishes that installations for the loading and unloading of substances constituting a hazard to water and installations for the storage and filling of liquid manure, slurry and silage seepage must be designed, installed, erected, maintained and operated in such a way that the best possible level of protection of waters from pollution or other detrimental changes to their properties is achieved. The text consists of 25 articles.
