The Minister may by order form time to time appoint harbours for the purpose of this Act and declare the limits and boundaries thereof. The Minister shall have the general superintendence, management and control of the harbour of Belize City and the other harbours of Belize (a) the examination of masters, mates and engineers of vessels, the conduct of the examinations, and the qualification of the applicants and the granting of certificates of competency; (b) the examination, survey, inspection and measuring of vessels, and the manner of determining and marking of draught freeboard and load lines thereof and the issue of “Sea-going Certificates” in respect thereto, etc. Full text English Website www.belizelaw.org
