Abstract

This Law establishes regulations aimed at safeguarding the Port of Hamburg, encompassing measures to protect it and its facilities from specific threats like terrorist attacks. It also mandates police oversight of international traffic and strives to elevate safety standards in the transportation of dangerous goods. The text contains 32 Articles designed in 5 Parts as follow: General provisions (1); Regulations for special hazard prevention to protect the port and its facilities from terrorist attacks (2); Regulations to ensure police control of cross-border traffic (3); Regulations for increasing safety in the transportation of hazardous goods (4); and Final provisions (5).
