Abstract

These Guidelines have been approved by the Cabinet with a view to ensuring the proper planning and sustainable development of the coastal zone. They describe in detail the data requirements (covering key plans, location plans, site plans, design calculation and plans, photographs) as well as the scope of the impact assessment for the different types of development in the coastal zone, which are divided into (a) shore front development projects, (b) backshore development projects, (c) land reclamation projects, (d) sand mining and river mouth dredging projects.
