Entry into force notes
The present Guidelines enter into force on 1 January 1994.
Abstract

The present Guidelines implement, inter alia, the Federal Environment Protection Act of 7 October 1983 and the Ordinance on proceeding coordination and environmental impact assessment of 28 September 1993. In particular, the Guidelines regulate in detail the implementation of the environmental impact assessment. The text – consisting of 15 articles – deals with the following aspects: purpose, competences of Environment Offices, plants subject to the Federal Major Accident Ordinance of 27 February 1991, repeal and entry into force.
