Abstract

This Regulation applies in respect of (a) the management of Greenhouse nutrient feedwater (GNF) by means of a sewage works at a greenhouse operation that is registered under this Regulation; (b) all subsequent management of GNF following its management by means described in clause (a); and (c) the management of test solution. GNF is a prescribed material for the purposes of the definition of “nutrient management strategy”; an operator is hence required to prepare, submit and operate in compliance with a GNF strategy. The Regulations also provide for transportation. If a controller of a greenhouse operation intends for GNF generated at the greenhouse operation to be applied to land at an agricultural operation and wishes for the greenhouse operation to be subject to this Regulation, the controller shall register the greenhouse operation by preparing a registration in a form specified by the Director and submitting it to the Director. A GNF Plan is required as well for storage of GNF (see Part V). Part VI provides for GNF land application standards.
