Abstract

This order suspends the right to the retail sale of alcoholic beverages throughout Estonia from 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. until the cessation of the emergency situation. This restriction does not apply to a point of sale located onboard a water craft or aircraft used in international carriage of passengers or a point of sale located in a security restricted area of an international airport or port. Under subsection 4 of § 49 of the Alcohol Act, state supervision over compliance with requirements related to the retail sale of alcoholic beverages and adherence to the restrictions applicable to the consumption of alcoholic beverages is exercised by the rural municipality or city administration in its administrative territory.
