Abstract

The present Decree applies to the conduction and treatment of domestic wastewater in situations referred to in Chapter 16 of the Environment Protection Act. It lays down rules on person-equivalent load for dispersed settlements, access to information on wastewater treatment systems, the content requirements for descriptions of wastewater systems, for wastewater system plans, and for manuals of wastewater systems. The Finnish Environment Institute will monitor the development of the wastewater treatment systems that are generally available on the market and the results achieved through them.
