Abstract

These Measures are necessary for the application and operation of the rapid national food and feed alerts. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry ensures the development and submission for approval, in accordance with the provisions of the law, technical concept of an automated information system for transmission, reception and recording alerts for food and animal feed. Alert notice shall be intended notification of a risk that requires prompt action on the domestic market of the Republic of Moldova or in another state. Notification of information shall be intended notification of a risk that does not require prompt action on the domestic market of the Republic of Moldova or in another state. Notice of information for attention shall be intended notice of product information, which: (a) is present only on the domestic market of the Republic of Moldova or in the country, which initiated the notification; (b) has not been introduced to the market; and (c) is no longer present on the market. Members of the alert network ensure the effective functioning of the segment under their subordination, in accordance with the competencies established by law. The national contact point maintains and updates the list of contact points of alert network members and makes it available to them. Network members inform the national contact point of changes regarding their contact points and contact details. The National Contact Point provides alert network members with forms of documents to be used for transmitting notifications. Members of the alert network transmit alert notifications to the national contact point immediately or within 24 hours of notification of the risk. Alert notices contain all available information that relates in particular to the risk and the product underlying the risk. If the product that has been notified originates from or is distributed within the territory of certain State, the National Food Safety Agency shall inform that State.
