These requirements establishes the rules for traceability of sprouts and seeds intended for the production of sprouts. They are not applicable to sprouts that have been processed to eliminate microbiological risks. Imported seed lots intended for the production of sprouts and sprout lots must be accompanied by quality certificate. Accompanying certificate for sprouts and seeds must attest that: (a) sprouts or seeds were produced under conditions that respect the general food hygiene requirements, and are not genetically modified; (b) sprouts were obtained under conditions that meet the requirements for traceability established in paragraphs 10-13; (c) sprouts were obtained at enterprises that meet the requirements and comply with the microbiological criteria.
