Abstract

These Regulations make provision in relation to section 108(1)(a) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, which restricts the import and acquisition of genetically modified organisms. It prescribes the period for which a person who carries out an assessment under section 108(1)(a) of the Act shall keep a record of that assessment and specifies exemptions from requirement to carry out risk assessments.
