The present Act enters into force on 26 June 2004.

Abstract

An Act to implement the Regulation (EC) No. 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council on genetically modified food and feed, and the Regulation (EC) No. 1830/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the traceability and labelling of genetically modified organisms and the traceability of food and feed products produced from genetically modified organisms and amending Directive 2001/18/EC. The text consists of 7 articles dealing with the following aspects: Tasks of the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Security; Tasks of the Federal Ministry for Consumer Protection, Nutrition and Agriculture; Participation of other authorities of the Federal State; Tasks of the authorities of the “Länder”.
