Abstract This Regulation lays down rules for the production and marketing of food products. It consists of 11 chapters: (I) Scope and definitions; (II) Quality, hygiene etc.; (III) Additives, minerals, vitamins, etc; (IV) Harmful substances, disinfection, etc.; (V) Duty of notification and approval requirements; (VI) Packaging etc.; (VII) Labelling; (VIII) Sales, import and marketing; (IX) Control; (X) Marketing restrictions and confiscation; and (XI) Administrative provision.The Regulation covers the production, packaging, storage, transport, marketing and import of food products, excluding the primary production of agricultural products. It contains a general requirement that food products be produced, stored and sold in a way that preserves the nutritional quality of the raw materials as much as possible.
