Their scope is to transpose Commission Implementing Decision 2019/120 amending Council Directive 2008/ 90/EC as regards the extension of the derogation relating to import conditions for fruit plant propagating material and fruit plants intended for fruit production from third countries. Regulation 4 of the principal regulations is amended to introduce the necessity of a declaration prior the introduction in Malta of fruit plant propagating material and fruit plants intended for fruit production from another EU Member State and to regulate the information to be given to the Directorate by the Professional and the non-professional final users being supplied such material. The term set out in sub-regulation (3) of regulation 16 of the principal regulations is extended to "31st December, 2022".
