Abstract

These Regulations prohibit the manufacture, importation, exportation, advertisement, sale or distribution of fruit juice or nectar in Nigeria unless the products have been registered with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations. The Regulations also set out standards for fruit juice or nectars, prescribe labelling requirements and provide for the classification of fruit juice or nectar. The maximum limits of contaminants in fruit juices and nectars shall comply with the limits as provided in Schedule “E” to these Regulations.
