Abstract These Regulations amend regulation 7 of the Fresh Meat (Hygiene and Inspection) Regulations 1995. The effect of the amendment is that the meat of animals slaughtered in a licensed slaughterhouse or farmed game handling facility for consumption by owners will be treated as if it were intended for sale for human consumption and subjected to the inspection and health marking requirements as set out in the principal Regulations.
