Abstract

These Regulations, consisting of 23 sections divided into four Parts, under the Forests Act 1958, No. 6254/1958, provide for the protection of State forests, protected public land and national parks from damage by fire. The Regulations contain general prohibitions concerning fires in the open air and in temporary structures; on campfire and barbeques; the use of engines and equipment in fire protected areas; and on sawmills and commercial operations. The Regulations provide for the following parts as follows: Preliminary (Part I); Fires in the open air (Part II); Engines and Equipment (Part III); Operations (Part IV).
