Abstract

An Act to secure a more rational and economic use of the forest resources of Newfoundland and to assure an adequate supply of wood for the establishment of a third mill. The Act provides for the voluntary and compulsory exchange of forest land in order to create an area large enough to support a third pulp or paper mill. Cutting rights may be granted by agreement to the third mill operator. (15 sections and 1 Schedule)
