Abstract

The Forestry Commission is established under section 1 as a body corporate. The Minister responsible for forestry shall have ministerial responsibility for the Commission. Objects and functions of the Commission are outlined in section 2. They include regulation of the utilization of forest and timber resources of Ghana, management of the nation’s forest reserves and protected areas, assistance to the private sector and other bodies in relation with implementation of forest and wildlife policies
