The Minister may establish one or more committees to assist and advise him or her in the performance of any of his or her functions under the relevant statutory provisions. The Minister may issue notices concerning destruction of vegetation on land, or destruction of vermin and preservation or replanting orders. Where a person wishes to fell or otherwise remove any tree or trees or to undertake afforestation, forest road works or aerial fertilisation of forests, he or she shall apply to the Minister for a licence to do so. Certain provisions of the Act concern the prervation of water quality.
