Abstract

With a view to protection and increase of forests, as well as to their sustainable, social, ecological, economic and cultural functions and the development of rural areas, the Land Mecklenburg-Vorpommern maintains a state forest administration. To perceive these tasks a legal entity under public law shall be established under the name “Regional Forestry Mecklenburg-Vorpommer - Agency of public law (Forestry State Institute). Article 2 lays down provisions relating to the tasks of the afore-mentioned Institute, such as, promotion of private and public forests, preparation of forestry planning, monitoring of forests, research projects, forestry inspections, forest protection, tourism and use of rural space. The text consists of 17 articles.
