Abstract

This Notice, made by the Minister under section 4 of the Forest Resources and Timber Utilisation Act, exempts land listed in the Schedule from the provisions of that section. Section 4 requires a licence to be obtained for commercial felling. The land shall be used for the purposes of agricultural development and reforestation. All clear felling shall comply with the terms and conditions of a special permit to be issued by the Commissioner of Forest Resources. No extension for additional area to be cleared to granted until the agricultural development or reforestation has been done in the approved area already cleared to the satisfaction of the Commissioner and the Ministry responsible for Agriculture
