Abstract

The amendments to the Forest Resources and Timber Utilisation Act made by this Act concern the appropriate public authority involved in the process of negotiating the disposal of timber rights of customary land holders in favour of timber exporters or timber millers. The Area Council of the area in which the land is situated is replaced by “the appropriate Government”.
