Abstract

Regulations to make provision for grazing of cattle, horses and sheep on public lands. They apply to all land within the boundaries of any forest reserves established pursuant to the Forest Reserves Act. Applications for permits to graze livestock on public lands situated within the boundaries of forest reserves may be submitted by persons who are Canadian citizens and have attained the age of eighteen years to a superintendent of a forest in a forest reserve. The Superintendent may issue on behalf of the Minister: (a) an annual permit to graze any number of livestock not exceeding the preference quota assigned to the applicant, or (b) a temporary permit to graze livestock on surplus range lands, or (c) an on and off range permit to graze livestock on public lands situated within the boundaries of a forest reserve.
