Abstract

These Regulations prohibit converting of any species of primary hardwoods, secondary hardwoods of softwoods as specified in the First Schedule to these Regulations into lumber without first having obtained a licence in accordance with Rule 5 of the Forest Rules of 1980 (reg. 3). No person to whom a permit is granted shall convert any species of primary hardwoods or softwoods into lumber by using chainsaws or any of its modifications. The Chief Forest Officer may permit the use of chainsaws for small quantities (reg. 5). The Second Schedule contains the form of application for a forest licence (reg. 6).
