The Council shall consist of members appointed by the Minister in accordance with section 10C. The object of the Council shall be to promote and to encourage the development and improvement of the forest and timber industries (sect. 10B). The Council may undertake promotional work and with approval of the Minister grant financial assistance. Other functions of the Council are of an advisory nature. The Forestry Industry Fund shall be administered by the Council and shall be used to cover expenses incurred by the Council (sect. 10H).
