Abstract

These Regulations concern compositional and labelling requirements applicable to foods intended specifically for persons suffering from carbohydrate metabolism disorders, such as diabetes. Such foods must meet the compositional criteria set out in the First Schedule. Regulation 6 establishes labelling requirements. The Second Schedule regards amino acid requirement pattern; the Third Schedule concerns vitamins and minerals and their Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs).
