Abstract

These Regulations amend the Fodder Plant Seed (Scotland) Regulations 2005 in order to implement Commission Directive 2010/60, which provides for certain derogations for marketing of fodder plant seed mixtures intended for use in the preservation of the natural environment. They define authorization requirements for preservation mixtures and provides for the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to specify the maximum amount of seed of a preservation mixture that may be marketed in any given growing season. Amendments also concern labelling and packaging requirements for preservation mixtures.
