Abstract

These provisions amend the Flora, Fauna and Natural Habitats Regulations by replacing the text of Schedule I, which defines and describes natural habitat types whose conservation requires the designation of special areas of conservation. These habitats include: coastal and halophytic habitats; coastal sand dunes and inland dunes; freshwater habitats; natural and semi-natural grassland formations; rocky habitats and caves; forests. Furthermore the text of Schedule II (specifying animal and plant species of Community interest whose conservation requires the designation of special areas of conservation) is replaced.
