Abstract

This Order, made by the Scottish Ministers in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(1)(c) of the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009 designates 'responsible authorities’ for the purposes of the Act 2009. Each responsible authority must, among other things, exercise their flood risk related functions (in or as regards Scotland) with a view to reducing overall flood risk.
