Removal of fins requires an authorisation of the Seychelles Fishing Authority. The Regulations prescribe rules relative to processing and disposal of sharks on board of a vessel. Only a given percentage of weight of fins may be landed. All fishing vessels arriving at the port of destination in the Seychelles shall declare the quantities of shark fins and products on board of the vessel.
