Abstract

These Regulations amend the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2001 by inserting a reference to oceanic whitetip shark into Part 2C of Schedule 3 of the principal regulations. Part 2C specifies protected fish species. As a consequence of the amendment, a permit holder (as defined in the principal regulations) who takes any oceanic whitetip shark must complete a protected species catch return in accordance with regulation 11E of the principal Regulations.
