Abstract These Regulations set forth provisions on the requirement to comply with fishing days granted to the fishing vessel within the domestic fishing zone, territorial sea, archipelagic waters and internal waters of Kiribati; granting of fishing days to foreign vessel or fishing vessel registered in Kiribati; principles for calculation of fishing days; requirement for stowage of fishing gear; transit of a licensed purse seine vessel during no-fishing days; full catch and sailing for a designated port; conditions to be attributed as non-fishing day; monitoring and control of vessels; and offences and penalties.
