Abstract

These Regulations give effect to the Third Arrangement implementing the Nauru Agreement Concerning Cooperation in the Management of Fisheries of Common Interest. This Arrangement sets forth additional terms and conditions of access to the fisheries zones of the Parties. The Regulations concern, among other things: additional conditions for fishing licences; requirements for catch retention; prohibition of use of fish aggregating devices; prohibition of fishing in certain areas of the high seas; requirements for the use of observers; and the requirements of use of automatic location communicators. The Regulations define offences.
