Entry into force notes
The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 2009.
Abstract

The present Ordinance enforces the Fisheries Law of 12 March 2008. Fishing fish, crayfish, bait and other aquatic animals in the public waters and canals of the Canton of Solothurn is a sovereign right, and as such can be authorized only by the Canton. Sub-concessions are not allowed. Fishing permits are issued by the competent Department and by fishing associations. The text consists of 29 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Sovereign fishing rights (1); Protection and utilization of fish and crab stocks (2); Competence and enforcement (3); Transitonal and final provisions (4).
