Abstract

This Regulation, consistin of 42 sections divided into eight Parts and completed by one Schedule, implements the Fisheries Management Act 1994 by providing the management plan for the Abalone fisheries. The Plan contains provisions on the total allowable catch and defines procedures for the allocation of quotas; it deals with matters related to crew, boats and record keeping and defines offences and penalties for violations of the provision of the plan or of the Act. The Plan also provides for performance indicators and organizes the review procedure.
